What Is DACA And How Did The Surpreme Court Handle It?

After some time, I decided to investigate the reason why DACA also known as “Deferred Actions for Childhood Arrivals” ended up in court last month and talk more about what it’s about. On June 18, 2020, the Supreme Court blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to end the program. The program was created in  2012 by former President Barack Obama to shield the 700,000 immigrant kids who come to the United States who are referred to as Dreamers from deportation. The reason why it ended up in court is because  on September 5, 2017, he announced he would end it and eventually told congress to come up with an alternative. This meant that as time went by, about 800,000 adolescent kids brought to the United States as kids and qualified for the DACA program, would now become eligible for deportation. Meanwhile, since the court decided not to end the program for now, current DACA members can still live and work here in the United States without living in fear. Even though the Trump Administration can and will try ending the program once more, this could take a few more months. What do you think about this program? Do you think we should keep it for a long time period or end and deport all the young adults who came to this country?
