Animals During Quarintine

Now that we humans have been in lockdown, animals and nature have been blooming. With millions of humans staying home, a decrease of pollution in many places has occurred. With that and empty streets, more animals have been starting to make appearances,
Animals from birds to deer to dolphins and more have been seen. Over 70,000 sea turtles were found nesting on an Indian beach. In Florida not only have more sea turtles been seen, but they have also been found to be healthier. This has been amazing for sea animals such as whales, dolphins, and seals. They have even been found swimming closer to shores.
In the streets of a city in England, mountain goats were recorded running around. All around the world, even more animals have been seen roaming the streets including coyotes, deer, turkey, wild boar, and more. It is amazing to see these animals run freely and safely. Sadly, at some point in time, this will come to an end. What should we do to make animals feel this safe again when the public is back out?

  1. Hello, Devon,

Although many humans regard our current situation as a dark time, it is quite pleasant to hear about the sudden emergence of wildlife exploring what used to be known as home before human construction. Unfortunately, you are exactly right when stating that their time of free roaming will come to an end. As humans increasingly disregard the habitats and lives of other organisms, it will not be surprising to me when these animals disappear. Since the Earth is dominated by us humans and our rapidly developing technologies that demand raw resources, I doubt we could ever coexist with wildlife ever again. I wonder how many more species of organisms mankind will continue to drive into extinction. Your post has even led me to wonder how the relationship between wildlife and humans will be one thousand years from now.
