Did ICE help spread COVID-19?

After reading the “Room for Debate” articles, I came across an article, “‘It Was Like a Time Bomb’: How ICE Helped Spread the Coronavirus”, discussing how ICE did not do much to help control COVID-19. In this article, there were many stories of undocumented immigrants and their experiences with ICE and the coronavirus. Many would still have to get on their deportation plane while having been tested positive for coronavirus. Even while knowing, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility did not care and would carry on with the deportation. Over 40,000 immigrants have been deported from the United States since March, including those who tested positive for coronavirus. In this case, ICE should have not sent the the undocumented immigrants out with the virus, instead, they should have found a way to help them. Aside from that, the conditions in these detention facilities were not safe. After the reporters spoke to numerous immigrant detainees, they all described the facilities as unsanitary and cramped.
ICE should be held accountable for their actions. It is not fair that they are not taking precautions with the virus, and only putting more people at risk. They should have made the facilities sanitary and took better care of those who tested positive for coronavirus. Do you think that ICE should be held accountable for some of the spread of coronavirus? Should the facilities be sanitary and not as compact?
