How Have We Adapted To This New Lifestyle?

Being a couple of months in quarantine, we need to understand that this virus had changed our lives and that life may not be the same for the time being until the vaccine comes out. We learnt to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and to not gather in large groups until further notice. By learning how to apply these rules to our every day lives, we're all learning how to adapt to this new lifestyle. Our generation has never experienced anything like this before, so we're all new to this different way of living.
For us teens, we all thought this quarantine was like a "little" break because we were all tired from school and we had some time off in order to relax or do whatever we want. However, those two weeks became a month, then another a month, and ended up until today. We started to become more lazy because we were detached from our everyday routines and we couldn't do anything about the lockdown. Social media has became an addiction for us, and usually we'd be so attached that we wouldn't keep in contact with our friends or even our family members. Each one of us had a different experience going through this quarantine. We all learnt something, and we need to apply that for when we're able to hangout with our peers again. As of right now, how did you adapt to this new lifestyle? Did you build a schedule or a daily routine in order to be productive? Have you been productive these couple of months in quarantine? If so, how did you build it? What are your thoughts now about this quarantine?

  1. While everyone has had a different experience with quarantine, I've had a good and bad adaptation to the protocols that we have to take now. I have found myself falling into a hole of no motivation and sadness sometimes, while other times I'll be very productive, and honestly, happy. I try very hard to make a schedule and keep it to refrain from lack of motivation, but with quarantine it's easy to sleep in until 5pm and watch TikTok through the night. There are good things about this quarantine and I'm trying to see those aspects more than the bad, and take advantage of the time I have.

  2. I'll tell you one thing that I've done this whole quarantine, which is not being productive at all. This lifestyle we're forced to live in for the time being is so hard to adapt to, and if you have adapted to it then applause to you. The only thing I've really been doing that's keeping me from being totally lazy is homework and working out. Overall, I haven't been productive unless you can consider finishing an entire TV show in 2 weeks. Honestly, this quarantine has not been good at all. I've heard of so many people getting depressed just from being locked up from COVID-19. What makes it worse is that we aren't even close to ending this pandemic. But I'm going to try to make the best of it because if I don't, I don't know what else I'll do.
