School will become more online-based than ever before. In this new digital world teachers will be trained to teach 21st century skills. Students will also be taught how to become global collaborators by using the internet to interact with people and resources all over the world. Now we have more tools to do our work virtually in case of emergency. With all of these digital tools and the need to social distance, schools will need to make technology more easily accessible and meaningful for all students. These new online tools have become so useful that some parents don't feel as if they need to send their child back to a physical school site. If the trend continues, homeschooled students may increase while the number of students enrolled in public schools may decrease.

How Will School Be Affected By This Quarantine?
When students go back to school many changes will occur. During this quarantine many students had to make the big leap to online learning. When we come back to school we will have to rely more on technology. Over time schooling has become increasingly dependent on technology and the internet. Currently, we use tools such as Google Classroom and Google Docs to do our work more in an easily organized way. The trend of continuing to use more technology in school will continue when students make their return, especially due to the effects of the pandemic.

From the points you have given I could see how the number of home-schooled students could increase, while the number of students enrolled in public schools may decrease. Since schools will be more involved in online-based learning, parents might view this change to be similar or the same as home-schooling. So you’re right. Why should parents have to send their children back to a physical school site, when most of the courses in schools will be online? Are students given the same opportunities if they switch to be home-schooled, compared to being in class? I think these are a few questions that lots of parents, or even students might be wondering about during these changes in our education system.
