The world has so many problems, some of which may never be fixed. The list of the 10 biggest problems in the world according to millennials (at least the ones who are lucky enough to have internet access so they can take the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Survey) can be found on Business Insider and goes as follows:
1. Climate change / destruction of nature due to global warming (48.8%)
2. Large scale conflict / wars (38.9%)
3. Inequality (income, discrimination, racism) (30.8%)
4. Poverty (29.2%)
5. Religious conflicts (23.9%)
6. Government accountability and transparency / corruption (22.7%)
7. Food and water security (18.2%)
8. Lack of education (15.9%)
9. Safety / security / well being (14.1%)
10. Lack of economic opportunity and unemployment (12.1%)
Obviously, there are many other problems in the world, but most fall under one of the big categories. Without a doubt, all of the issues on this list are major issues that need to be fixed. There is no denying that. However, do you agree with the order of this list? Would you switch some issues in the list for other ones? Do you think millennials who can’t even take the survey because of various problems would tend to agree or disagree? Would Generation Z agree or disagree? I am interested to see your changed list and see the explanation of why you changed it or why you decided to leave it as it is. As a whole, it is our job to make the world a better place.
